Chris Brown Snags 12th Top 10 Hit With ‘Breezy’

A warm embrace is exactly what Chris Brown‘s latest album ‘Breezy’ received upon its June 24 release.
According to Billboard, ‘Breezy’ comes as the week’s top R&B debut thanks to shifting a total sum of 72,000 units its first week – a figure comprised mostly of streaming-powered activity (approximately 66,000 units which equals 87.36 million on-demand official streams of the album’s 24 tracks).
Entering this week’s Billboard 200 at #4, the project marks the singer’s 11th consecutive studio album to visit the chart territory. Overall, when including the Young Thug-assisted mixtape ‘Slime & B’ (which peaked at #3), Brown’s had 12 top 10 hits on the Billboard 200 to his career credit.
Arguably due to the set’s soft promotional roll out, ‘Breezy’ may have won on the critical front but its chart arrival was accompanied by the second-lowest premiere numbers of his career to date. Only the R&B bad boy’s 2017 LP ‘Heartbreak on a Full Moon’ sold less when it entered the Billboard 200 at #3 with 68,000 units sold its first week.
