Did You Know: Cardi B Is The First Female To Win ASCAP Songwriter Of The Year Award Back-To-Back!
Cardi B‘s reign as the leader of the female rap-pack recently got a major boost.
She became the first woman to win Songwriter Of The Year two years in a row at the ASCAP Rhythm & Soul Awards — and event which celebrates the creators and publishers behind the biggest R&B, Hip-Hop and Gospel songs of the year.
The 27-year-old nabbed the honor at the 2020 edition of the coveted event which kicked off virtually July 15th due to the current pandemic. She was honored based off the songs; “Please Me,” “Ring,” and “Money”.
