Davido became the latest celebrity to perform at MLS club, Atlanta United’s pre-match ritual earlier in July 2021.

The ‘Assurance’ singer got the invitation to “hit the golden spike” — a ritual done before games held at the Mercedes Benz Stadium by the MLS team.

This few minute exercise made the singer, who spent a chunk of his life in Atlanta, the first African artiste to do so.
