The Funke Akindele-produced movie recently ascended the throne to rule, becoming the highest-grossing Nollywood movie of all time — recording over N468 million at box office in one month.
Confirmed by Cinema Exhibitors Association of Nigeria (CEAN) on 26th January, the 2020 Christmas Day-cinema premiered sequel occupied the #1 spot in the first four weeks.
What the new development means for “Omo Ghetto: The Saga” is that the movie has officially broken a four-year record previously held by Kemi Adetiba’s 2016 Comedy movie “The Wedding Party” which raked in N453 million at the box office.
