Eventually hitting #1 and staying there for four weeks total (his fifth chart-topper), the Max Martin-produced cut helped dimmed the reign of Ed Sheeran‘s monster smash ‘Shape of You’ (2017) to become the longest-running top 5 hit in history
Landing at #5 on its latest Hot 100 spot, the GRAMMY winner (born Abel Tesfaye) learned ‘Blinding Lights’ has spent more time in the chart region than any other tune in the hitlist’s 62-year history.
