Wizkid became Nigeria’s first and only artiste till date to reach the number one spot on Billboard chart following his guest feature on Drake’s Afrobeat-infused ‘One Dance‘ — a song which reached the number one spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in May 12, 2016, a position it kept for 10 non-consecutive weeks.
‘One Dance’ which has the record of over one billion streams on Spotify, made Wizkid first Afropop artiste to be named in the Guinness Book of Record 2018 edition.
