Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s Moana Song, ‘You’re Welcome’ Earns 4x Platinum Certification
Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson may be an actor, but he’s also getting recognized in the other side of entertainment in the United States for his music input on ‘You’re Welcome.’
The song which was featured on Disney’s Animated film, ‘Moana’, has reached 4x platinum status. According to RIAA, ‘You’re Welcome’ attained the milestone on October 29, 2020.
Written by Lin-Manuel Miranda, the certification means ‘You’re Welcome’ has sold over 4 million in US units, with each unit equivalent to 1 paid download or 150 streams.
The song was released as a single in 2016 after the Moana premiere, and was awarded Gold status by the RIAA in April 2017.
