History Today: Adekunle Gold Released His Sophomore Album “About 30”
May 25 Marks 2-year anniversary of Adekunle Gold‘s “About 30” sophomore album.
The album which shares his experiences over the past three decades — touching on love, growth and purpose, saw his band of masterclass instrumentalists perfect the sound composition and a mercenary writer like Simi; making making sure good sound meets the right expression in words.
Even though it only spent a week on the chart, ‘About 30’ peaked at number 9 on the Billboard chart June 9, 2018 in the Top 10 World Album category.
