History Today: Beyonce Released Her Debut Solo Album, ‘Dangerously In Love’

June 24 marks the 17th anniversary of Beyoncé‘s debut solo album, ‘Dangerously In Love.’
The critically acclaimed project which featured the number 1 hits ‘Crazy in Love‘ and ‘Baby Boy,’ also houses Billboard Hot 100 top 5 singles ‘Me, Myself, & I’ and ‘Naughty Girl.’
‘Dangerously In Love’ is certified 4x Platinum in the United States with over 11 million copies sold worldwide. The effort won 5 GRAMMYs at the 2004 ceremony: Best Contemporary R&B Album, Best R&B Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals, Best R&B Song, Best Rap/Sung Collaboration, and Best Female R&B Vocal Performance.
