History Today: Katy Perry Released Her First Major Label Album, ‘One Of The Boys’
June 17 marks the 12th anniversary of Katy Perry’s first studio album, ‘One Of The Boys’ under her stage name (Katy Perry).
Released in 2008 by Capitol Records, the project had three Top 10 hits including “Hot N Cold,” “Waking Up in Vegas,” and “I Kissed A Girl.”
‘One of the Boys’ which was certified Platinum by Recording Industry Association of America (RIIA), earned Katy two Grammy nominations. It has sold over 7 MILLION copies worldwide to date.
