History Today: Michael Jackson Released His Record-Breaking Album, ‘Thriller’
November 30 marks the 38th year anniversary of Michael Jackson’s sixth studio album, “Thriller”.
Released 1982 by Epic Records, the LP which featured a single guest appearance, Paul McCartney, is often credited by critics and publications as one of the greatest albums of all time.
‘Thriller’ has sold over 100 million copies worldwide and was certified 33x platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) in 2017. 7 singles reached Top 10 on Billboard Hot 100 and It won a record-breaking eight Grammy Awards at the 1984 edition.
