History Today: Nicki Minaj Debuted With ‘Pink Friday’ Album 10 Years Ago

November 22 marks the 10th year anniversary of Nicki Minaj’s debut studio album, ‘Pink Friday’.
Released under Young Money, Cash Money and Universal Motown, the album whose effort resulted in a primarily hip hop record with additional influences from R&B and Pop music, featured guest vocals from Eminem, Rihanna, Drake, will.I.am, Kanye West and Natasha Bedingfield.
The album which debuted at #2 on the US Billboard 200, selling 375,000 copies in its first week, has been certified 3x Platinum by RIAA and nominated for ‘Best Rap Album’ at the 54th Grammy Awards in 2012″.
