History Today: Olamide Released 3rd Studio Album, ‘Baddest Guy Ever Liveth’
November 7 marks the 7th year anniversary of Olamide’s ‘Baddest Guy Ever Liveth’ album.
Released in 2013 under YBNL, the likes of Phyno, Pepenazi, Ice Prince, Endia, Ketchup, Viktoh, Bez, and more, were enlisted for the 3rd studio album. It was produced entirely by Pheelz except for the 13th track “Sitting on the Throne”.
‘BGEL’ which was supported by four singles: “Durosoke”, “Turn Up”, Yemi My Lover”, and “Eleda Mi O”, was ranked top 12 best Nigerian albums of 2013. It won ‘Best Album of the Year’ at 2014 Nigeria Entertainment Awards, ‘Best Rap Album’ and ‘Album of the Year’ at The Headies 2014.
