History Today: Olamide Released “Omo Toh Shan” Featuring Wizkid
September 5 makes the 10th year anniversary of Olamide’s first collaboration track with Wizkid, “Omo Toh Shan”
Released in 2010, “Omo Toh Shan” — regarded as Olamide’s major breakout single — charted on several radio stations across Nigeria. It was one of the most stand-out singles at time, maintaining it’s presence on the lips of many for several months.
The collaboration track served as the lead single to the rapper’s debut album, ‘Rhapsody’ which was was released in 2011 while signed to ID Cabasa’s Coded Tunes. The official video was released in 2011.
