History Today: Tiwa Savage Signed A Management Deal With Jay Z’s Roc Nation

June 8 marks the 4th year since Tiwa Savage penned a management deal with American independent label, Roc Nation.

The deal which was not confirmed either by the 40-year-old nor Roc Nation until July 29, 2016, made her the first Nigerian artiste to be signed to the entertainment company.

Roc Nation which was founded by American Hip Hop great, Shawn Carter popularly known as Jay-Z, houses major artistes like: DJ Khaled, Rihanna, Big Sean, Fabulous, Alicia Keys, Meek Mill, Shakira, Calvin Harris, Bridget Kelly, T.I, just to mention a few.
