History Today: Wizkid Released His Third Studio Album And His Major Label Debut, ‘Sounds From The Other Side’
July 14 marks the 3rd anniversary of Wizkid’s third studio album and major label debut, Sounds From The Other Side (SFTOS).
The Caribbean-influenced record — which also encompasses several genres including Afrobeats, EDM, R&B and House — sold 6,286 units with over 4 million streams in its first week, and debuted at #107 on US Billboard 200 & #58 on the Canadian Album Chart.
Released by Starboy Entertainment, RCA Records and Sony Music, ‘SFTOS’ was preceded by top singles like ‘Daddy Yo,’ (featuring Efya) ‘Sweet Love,’ and ‘Come Closer’ (featuring Drake).
