Mary J. Blige Takes Up ‘Ghost’ Role In First ‘Power’ Spin-Off / 4 More Spin-Offs Announced
Mary J. Blige have been tapped to front ‘Power Book II: Ghost‘ — which will also star Method Man.
The show will pick up where the original leaves off. Interestingly, it will fuse new new characters with Power’s alums Naturi Naughton, Shane Johnson, Gianni Paolo, and Quincy Tyler Bernstine.
Following the season finale on Sunday, the first teaser of the spin-off has been incorporated which shows Mary J. Blige’s character Monet, as she stands next to several wads of cash spread out on a table.
According to the Executive Producer Courtney Kemp, the spin-off will have a lot of the same elements that viewers are used to from Power in terms of criminality, sex, drug, romance and the legal system.
Other spin-offs announced are Power Book III: Raising Kanan, Power Book IV: Influence and Power Book V: Force.
