What are the songs making rounds on your playlist?
HEP has selected the best 10 songs from hundreds of releases buzzing right now — plus an extra three bonus tracks credited under ‘HEP RECO’ (formerly HEP PICKS) and HEP’s signature intro & outro. We believe this 15-tracks playlist is worth listening to as the third edition of the year 2021 (March).
We’re sharing what our music critic team believes should be making rounds on all playlists across the world.
PS: All songs on the playlist can only be streamed (with full quality) on our website, but will only be available for download through the digital links we’ve attached to each songs.

TOP 10 SONGS OF THE MOMENT
10. Small Doctor – Mandeman (Remix) ft Davido: ‘Omo Iya Teacher’ as he’s fondly called, called on the services of the DMW boss, Davido to deliver this powerful remix to his Amapiano sound. The high-tempo song debuts at #10 on our countdown.
9. Angelique Kidjo – Dignity ft Yemi Alade: It’s no surprise that these two link up again for yet another smash record following the release of “Shekere” by Yemi featuring the Beninese singer in 2020. This song talks a lot about dignity amongst human — emphasizing with the high-tempo beat that respect is reciprocal.
8. Crayon – Too Correct ft Rema: One of Mavin Records latest signee, Crayon calls on the service of the multi-talented rapper or singer and label mate, Rema to deliver this new bop they call “Too Correct”.
7. Enisa – Love Cycle (Remix) ft Davido: It is somewhat a dream come true for Enisa when she got her wish to feature one of Nigeria’s brightest stars, Davido, on the remix to ‘Love Cycle’ – thanks to Nigerian music lovers who repaid her generously for supporting Nigeria during the #ENDSars protest.
6. Gyakie – Forever (Remix) ft Omah Lay: If you want your music to reach new audience, you will definitely go after the buzzing talent of the moment. This is what Gyakie did when he called on the services of “Godly” hitmaker, Omah Lay on the remix to his previous release, Forever.
5. Justin Beiber – Loved By You ft Burna Boy: Burna Boy is clearly having a great start into the year and a good run from 2020 having won himself a Grammy Award, featured on a number of big American artiste’s projects — with the latest being with Justin. As you already must know, Burna delivered on this love rendition.
4. Zinolessky – Kilofese (Remix) ft Mayorkun & Busiswa: He has already killed the original version of this song, but he decided to link up with DMW’s wonder kid, Mayorkun and South Africa’s Busiswa for the remix which doesn’t lose its value.
3. Jae5 – Dimension ft Rema & Skepta: This is probably the most powerful song out there in recent time, talking about the freedom of the black people. Rema sure did justice on the chorus as well as the hook!
2. Lil Nas X – Montero (Call My Name): The long-awaited track – which comes as the GRAMMY winner’s first release since the Gold-certified, 2020 top 40 hit ‘Holiday’ – is available for your listening pleasure. Nas really did pretty well on this dope beat!
1. Iceprince – Kolo ft Oxlade: After years of searching for that hit record that will put him back into the game like he ran for years, Iceprince finally got himself one in “Kolo” featuring Oxlade. It is no doubt that Ox is one of the rarest talents Nigeria has produced in recent time.
***** HEP RECO ******
1. M.I Abaga & Vector ft Pheelz – Crown of Clay: This is one of the most unique records in recent time as far as Nigerian music industry is concerned. These two rappers beefed each other back to back last year with diss tracks, but came together to make one record which has since melted the hearts of their fanbase.
2. PituHills – Shigege: PituHills teams up with Disco Boy Entertainment to kick-starts 2021 with an official new street-pop song he calls “Shigege“. This comes after his debut Extended Playlist album, “Omo Iya Jumoke” (which featured the likes of Klever Jay and Ajesings) and “Melanin EP” released in 2017 and 2018 respectively as a solo artiste — projects which has helped him gain a much-needed recognition ahead of his new releases. ‘Shigege’, according to the former Orange Music Records signee, is an effort to create a new dance with this Femzy Beatz-produced beat.
3. Teni – Hustle: Makanaki addressed a few of the many things she encounters being an artiste in the Nigerian music industry on this record off her recently released album “Wondaland”. Aside that, this track is a very good motivational song you should plug your ears to repeatedly!
