Tems Becomes The First Nigerian Female Artiste To Debut On Billboard Hot 100
If anyone had told Tems back in 2020 she would become a global artiste, she probably would have argued it or even laughed it off. But here she is, breaking new grounds across the globe with awards, international features and more.
The multiple award-winning singer became the first and only Nigerian female artiste to make her debut on Billboard Hot 100 charts, thanks to her smash hit ‘Free Mind’.
‘Free Mind’, released 20th of September 2020, debuted at #90. This is Tems’ fourth appearance on the chart following appearances with Wizkid, Drake and Future.
Tems has had a successful 2022 so far with chart breaking as well as major award recognition, with her collaboration with Beyonce confirmed the year just keeps getting better for the singer.
