Wale Waves Announces Brymo, Gabriel Afolayan, Others For September Concert

Nearly 7 years after his last official release (“Kilimanjaro” featuring Terry G), Wale Waves returns from an unplanned hiatus – that gave him enough time to craft a number of gripping songs, purposely to display professionalism, reflect on his past experiences and also his ability to produce better sounds.
The Afrocentric Folk/Soul/RnB/Alternative/Pop singer widely known for his classic songs and award-winning soundtracks like ‘Figurine (Araromire)‘, ‘The Call’, ‘Nimbe‘, is building momentum around his forthcoming album release “Babalawo” slated for September 25.
To give his diehard fans a taste of the sounds that can be expected from the project, Wale Waves has unleashed ‘Babalawo’, which serves as the album lead single.
The new tune “Babalawo,” is a well-organized symphonic song; composed, written and performed by Wale in 2017. It is an expression of his own true life story from years back, where he was prophesied to, by different clergy men, also, series of life threatening dreams from friends and families, that he has a short life time to live.
‘Babalawo [The Album]’ is expected to be released same day as the ‘Wale Waves Live Experience‘ concert which will witness live performances from the likes of Brymo, Dresticks, Gabriel Afolayan, just to mention a few.
