Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith’s expansion has led them to pact with one of Africa’s most notable media hubs, Nigeria through their company, Westbrook Studios.
The seismic stars — according to Deadline — have teamed up with EbonyLife Studios, a leading content company in Nigeria, on a slate of co-produced film and television projects. All of of which are centered on the African diaspora.
Billed as a first of its kind for Westbrook in the motherland, the venture will see the companies produce at least two series and one film.
“Dada Safaris”, “The Gods”, and “Are We Getting Married?” complete the three names of the movies which are expected to tell stories that uniquely celebrate African characters and perspectives.
