Wizkid Earns Career-High As ‘Essence’ Storms Top 20 On Hot 100
Wizkid’s scorching track, ‘Essence’, lifted from the ‘Made In Lagos’ album, has moved the music world all summer and he continues to reap the rewards on the chart.
The Tems assisted song has climbed to a major new peak on the Billboard Hot 100, leaping 28 spots to #16 — thanks to the boost given by the Justin Beiber remix of the track.
#YouCanDoItToo: In achieving the feat, the song re-affirms its position as Wizkid’s highest-charting release on the Hot 100 as the lead artist. He previously hit #1 as a feature on Drake’s 2016 smash ‘One Dance.’
Its climb comes as the Starboy gears up for the release of the deluxe edition of ‘Made In Lagos’ and the launch of the project’s like-titled tour.
